I think my journey to real estate is a little different than most. You can say real estate kind of found me. I believe that a huge part of life is timing. Whether you are able to be at the right place at the right time.
I started my journey in 2009 as a transaction coordinator with Sequoia Real Estate. I started in this industry with almost no knowledge or experience. I would say Kelvin took a chance with me and I am forever grateful for that. It’s not every day that you can say you were a part of a company’s growth. If you were to have asked me in 09, whether being a part of a startup excited me, I probably would’ve said no. Retrospect is always 20/20 right? I could not be more proud to have been a part of Sequoia since its inception. What a privilege it has been to watch this company grow from a 1 office, 4 person team to a company comprised of 4 offices and over hundreds of agents. Talk about timing right?
Early on in my journey at Sequoia, I knew real estate was the fulfilling career I was searching for. I love being able to help my friends, family, and clients achieve a major life milestone in owning or selling real estate.
I still cannot believe I’ve been with this company for over 11 years – where did time go? I guess time flies when you’re having fun. I am so blessed to be a part of this company and surrounded by so many supportive people. We are in an industry that’s constantly changing, and being surrounded by people who are eager not only to learn but to teach is a dream come true.
Originally from Hong Kong, Kalok’s progression into real estate evolved naturally, sparked by a profound, lifelong love of helping others achieve their very own American Dream. Having honed her unique skill set through a variety of professional roles at Sequoia since its inception over 10 years ago, she has mastered the art of navigating San Francisco’s multifaceted and complex market, even weathering the financial collapse following 2009 and coming out on top with a thriving firm that has quickly established itself as a bonafide industry leader.
